London Bridge is still here

The adventure began!  At 10 am this morning (5am Florida time) I landed safely in London, the land of tea & Indian food.  When I flew out I decided to check my backpack instead of carrying it - fi figured what the heck.  After arriving in London I was looking forward to throwing on a coat and scarf to brave the cold when I was notified that my luggage never even left Orlando!  Heh??  I dont' know what happened, really.  It just didn't take off.  At least I've got a toothbrush, camera, & pillow.  I plan to document life on the streets with clean teeth.

So with a light sweater on over my t-shirt I hopped the train into the city to meet Bethany.  It was cold!  She said she had plenty of extra jackets.  Got into London and hopped the "free" bus to her stop... then proceeded to go well past her stop.  Then I got off the bus and called.  Then I got back on the bus going the opposite direction.  Then I got off the bus again thinking I'd gone back too far.  Then I got back on the bus and finally saw her at the bus stop without any extra jacket.  Stuff is expensive here!  If 1 pound = 1 dollar it migh be ok.  But it doesn't!

Well, just letting you know I'm safe & alive.  I'm in a "coloful" London ghetto, so with any luck I'll make it two days without getting mugged.  Who knows, this could get really interesting really quickly.
