That Hot Sicilian Sun

I've spend the past week or so in Palermo, Sicily.  The Scirrocco is blowing in from Africa, so it feels like Florida here.  We've got a flat on the 8th floor of a building looking out over Mt Pellegrino and the beach at Mondello.  It feels hopeless to catch up on everything, so I'll summarize.  The beach at Mondello is beautiful.  The water is so blue.  Sunday we drove to Reserva dello Zingaro where we walked along some unspoiled Italian coastline and jumped in the clear cold Tyrrenian sea.  I tried to catch a Marionette show today but the theaters are only open on Sat & Sun, so unfortunately I won't get to see any.  I leave here on Wednesday and head to the Aeolean Islands for a few days before driving the long stretch back to San Remo.
